The CD will be discussed today quite controversial in fan circles. The band abandons the extravagant sound paintings of the 70s and lays here before predominantly tight rock songs. Thus, many of the "eternal-hards" not resign - I already! So this album was my first, in his youth (I'm 31 years old) successful contact with Genesis. It has then sold like hotcakes, which alone still can not be a reason, in my view, to evaluate a disk bad. "Mama" is the greatest piece of board and a really crashing prelude addition is "Mama" a curiosity:. Although the composition is not mass appeal actually, the title was as a single hit. This proves that even the ordinary music listener may now and then have a good taste. You can feel the strongest prog influence with "Home by the Sea" (both parts). A brilliant long track in which the band pulls out all the stops. Simply ingenious! "That's all" is the average pop-rock, no more, no less. "Illegal Alien" and "Just a job to do" are fleet pop pieces with funny lyrics. "Silver Rainbow" is a complex song, which responds perfectly. The remaining two tracks are quiet, but quite bearable. Conclusion: this CD is well above average, although except for "Home by the Sea" little Prog is heard. Who can with good pop-rock live music, will be well served.
