Although the title promises 'only', to take care of the essentials, but the book offers much more. Very systematically and sense the different parts of a song structure are put under the microscope (Intro, turn-arounds, end) and the different styles (the way to New Orleans and Jump-Blues). Here you get 'core elements' conveys, from which you can continue to think for themselves and games. Along with a collection of 'classics' of the blues and some very good wordings (if someone says to me soon in a session 'from the 5', I know now how to start) this is a great book to get so deeply into dig the blues that a) most situations has grown absolutely sovereign in sessions etc. and b) one lot from this for soul, rock; Rock'n'Roll can use etc.. But you should already be able to play a little. If you start at 0, should rather draw again before a 'Bass for Beginners' Guide for help.
