Ah yes, the promotion of "Ghost" worked well, Activision knows to go about selling poor.
Because yes I bought this game, and not just because I was fooled by the promo but also because I'm a fan of the previous installment of Treyarch:
the famous Black Ops 2.
But having toured the maps hundreds of times in online multiplayer, and DLC (download happy) has been shunned by the publisher for the Wii U (a shame)
it was obvious that I was expecting a refresh of the "Ghost". I was not in the point of being super demanding but at least do as well as the previous game.
I am well aware that these are two different studios but still ... What disgust that "Ghost" as nothing has been retained by Infinity Ward that of Treyarch!
We advance without any fun, all the maps are a kind of clutter that does not flatter the eye (I'm not talking about HD but the design) and are oh so happy for shirkers ("campers" in the jargon). When you start a game, difficult to see the enemy if it happens so visibility is not good and to find the camper, make kilometers because he's hiding well deep in a looooong map.
These maps are uninviting, almost all based on destruction. In short we are far from pretty Hijacked ship, the house raid, the Standoff village and so on. The weapons were muffled sounds that the disposal is at zero, the voices are zero-cut and between them (never heard of in a recent game), a draft of which menu you have to learn by heart icons to know what they correspond and way of release of painful assets at will.
Disappointed with the game, you will understand, I tried the single player. But it is equally disappointing, too directive and does not bring anything new.
The story is absolutely not exciting, one wonders if this is not some kind of filling.
So, I sold the game and I bought BO2. And you know what? I breathe ...
