I bought the Galaxy Note 2 at T-Mobile but flashed the floor Rome without branding and special T-Mobile software for better results!
Point 1: Equipment
The features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is in my opinion very good. A 1.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory which can be expanded with SDXC memory cards (I myself use an SDXC 64GB Sandisk), a 5.5 "Super AMOLED HD display with a 720p resolution, a huge large battery with 3100mAh and otherwise the "standard equipment" for current high-end devices such as NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, a new Android 4.1.2 etc.
Conclusion: Very good hardware for the high-end flagship of Samsung
Points 20/20
Point 2: Handling and processing
Let's get straight once for processing, the extent is quite good despite too much plastic for an expensive piece of equipment 700. After gnazt nothing in the whole plastic and the battery cover is firmly seated. I just noticed that the pin after a few paint always use more game in its holder gets, characterized also from time to rattle when you put the unit on a table or get there with the palm and even this does not feel thanks to full plastic straight valent to, just like the entire smartphone when you hold it in your hand. It just feels cheap in my eyes, and not as a device 700 as one would expect quiet for the price. Even the polycarbonate of the HTC One X feels much valent!
The handling is good, thanks to the rounded corners, even if you have to dislocate his thumb now and then to get to the top left corner but since you have to anyway rarely by the thumb back and one can think that anyway, when such a large equipment purchases, as it is most likely to Business usability.
The pen is very accurate and it can work well with him, if you hold it right. Once you him upright or holding at an angle of fixation is no longer at the point where the pencil lead is actually. In my opinion also not optimal for the price of the device.
Conclusion: for a 700 smartphone too little value for too much money
Points: 10/20
Item 3: Software
On my machine a branded T-Mobile Android 4.1.2 was installed, which was replaced by me geleich beginning with the standard Android 4.1.2 Samsung itself to be the T-Mobile going specific software and so also the full to assess speed of the device.
The first thing that struck me were the too big for me geratenen icons. Samsung had the so-called "LCD Density" quiet place on 320 to set to 240, characterized the icons would have been a bit smaller, but still big enough yet to make them comfortable without pressing an adjacent meeting, but would no longer look like Globig. In addition, the display would thanks to more space and another series in the App Drawer act "High-resolution". But well that's my opinion and that everyone is different.
The system itself runs very smoothly and without stuttering, only if I open the app list for the first time and wipe on the second page, it is not liquid but responded shortly afterwards but as I said this is only the first time and then everything goes clean and with finger with.
The camera software start unfortunately also delayed 2 seconds. For many not really a drawback but for me just a no-go!
The other specific touch apps like S Planner and S-Note are very well done and I only really use the calendar but for short notes, the S-Note app not bad.
Conclusion: A bit of improvement is still there but on the whole, is the overall concept of the software a "good" value.
Points: 15/20
Point 4: Multimedia Features
On the whole I am satisfied with the multimedia features. The MP3 player is good (though not as good as that of the One X with Beats) and with good headphones is also rich bass and high treble it with the appropriate equalizer settings. The built-in speaker is very good and also very loud for a smartphone. Praise for at Samsung!
The images quality of the camera is OK for a mobile camera even if my Xperia S camera has better pictures then laid but you should never compare with normal cameras or even DSLR cameras like my EOS 7D smartphone cameras. Only at dusk the images very noisy even with manual ISO 100 or 200. Schade.
The picture is very rich in contrast thanks to the AMOLED displays, for my taste again too much contrast and the display setting "of course" all seems somewhat grayish.
Videos on the player or Youtube to watch on the big screen is of course a pleasure. Finally, a screen size at which do not hurt me look the eyes after prolonged, and I would not take look at a smartphone anyway for movies.
Conclusion: Good multimedia enjoyment on the big screen and good sound when listening to MP3. Only the excessively high contrast is a minus point.
Points: 15/20
Point%: everyday practicality (voice quality, SMS, email, battery life, etc.)
In everyday life here proved to me the large battery, the load with me usually after approximately 17 hours of use, without in between, only brings a message that the battery level is low and only 10% has. It is permanently active with me much telephoning and Internet surfing in LTE and 3G network, about 20 SMS messages, many Facebook hits plus two Exchange e-mail accounts with push mail, a Gmail account, Facebook and Facebook Messenger. I think this is the battery life good. My S3 LTE I had to depend mostly by 16 clock to the charger.
The voice quality is just as good. No noise, no failures and the voice of the caller comes naturally over.
Write SMS is thanks to the "wipe" function very well by hand and but is by and large no different than other Android phones.
Conclusion: good as appreciate a long battery life in everyday life, especially for frequent users and business people myself.
Points: 20/20
Price performance: Good but because of too much plastic, lightweight software defects and to high-contrast screen for me not very good
Result: 80/100 points
Just as even the 4 stars for my review but as I said I rate more strictly and for one or the other are my defects not so relevant.
Be sure to read thanks for's and I would be very happy about a "helpful" rating if you liked the recession :)
