The first attempt was miserably. A no-name product with reportedly 20,000 mA for 25 was also much too small and too light to accommodate therein as much capacity. It had - taking into account a usual load loss then actually only about 6,000 mA. These products are offered en masse under false pretenses, even with supposedly 50,000 mA (the same size!). A battery with 20,000 mA must have a certain size and a weight of about half a kilo, otherwise can not be reached at the current state of technology this capacity. If someone's weight is too high for the move, he has to be content just with a smaller with considerably less energy.
With the multitude of my devices, including a tablet with 6700 mA, it should for me then already be 20,000 mA, especially since also do not arrive at this full device to be charged, because you have to expect to pay about 30% charge loss.
The anchor device is excellent packaged, comes with a charger (12 V, 2 A) as well as two further connecting cables. Even a small operation manual is, and - one amazed - even a German-language version. The unit makes a very solid impression. Brushed aluminum, properly designed and readable, always briefly illuminated display convey a high quality impression. The battery was summoned with 80% and has been recharged by me equal to 100%. Make charging via USB (5V, 500mA) In this capacity, would not be reasonable. This would take more than 50 hours, but as offered at the cheap devices. With the 12V / 2Ah charger against the anchor battery from 0 to 100 is filled in about 5 hours. 12 V and 2 Ah are computationally just almost 10 times of 5 V and 0.5 Ah.
The manufacturer advertises that these batteries (2nd Gen) by new technology have only one load loss of 20% instead of the usual industry standards of 35%. I have now loaded the anchor battery several times and sometimes even running out of power by the charging of connected devices. The anchor battery has 3 USB charging ports. This is unique and very good for me because I can simultaneously charge multiple devices.
Results after several months use:
1. 3 Connected devices can be actually the same load, even with full charging current when the entire abgeforderte does not exceed 4.5 Ah. He does this with me either. Even if I connect 2 Tablets (2 and 1.2 Ah) and my smartphone (1 Ah), I'm including.
2. If the connected device is fully charged, the anchor battery switches off automatically. The only exception: At the big tablet it does not. The reason for this was explained to me by the armature service Tell someone quickly, plausible and competent. Is not so bad, since the armature battery then barely lost. Reversed: This small Bluetooth headset - connected alone - is not loaded. Apparently the removed charge current is so low that the automatic switch-off of the anchor batteries is already active. This headset so I can only invite you, if I simultaneously connect a second device.
3. The charging power is fairly constant, according to my findings. When device to be charged, the charge is evenly, even when large tablet and even if the anchor battery is low already at 5% down. This is particularly noteworthy because there are external batteries that no longer invite especially larger devices such as tablets, when her own state of charge under a particular brand of device, for example, 30% or even 50%.
4. The connected devices are also charged while they are turned on and in use. Of course, then the net charge is reduced by the consumption. I drop an HD video running on a tablet during loading example, it is clear that the net charge is zero.
5. I could invite my ASUS Memo Pad FHD 10 (6,760 mA) twice from 0 to 100. Thus, the charge level of the batteries of anchor 100 to 5% was down. Similar test results with other equipment to be loaded. If you add this service to, so to get to the conclusion that the actual capacity of this battery is somewhere 18000-20000 mAh or actually at the indicated 20,000 mAh, and the charge loss but slightly higher than 20%. 6. Each battery also loses if it is not used and is disabled. The anchor battery loses about 0,5 - 1% of a full charge per day. Once I did not use it last about 1 month. The state of charge decreased in this time of 90% to 65%. Seems to me the case of lithium batteries something much loss. I would imagine that it is something in the electronics even when switched off even in standby and therefore there will be a minor consumption. But is in practice without significant importance.
The 9 / 12V - charging port I did not test, because I have no such device that would be to invite here. Only the output voltage I checked. This is exactly right. Maybe would be interesting for the one or the other, when a charge of anchor batteries would be possible via the car outlet. Here we would probably need only a suitable cable as the load input is already designed for 12 V.
Conclusion:
After my previous overall impression a highly recommended device. For 59.90 you get probably a reliable powerful machine with good quality, the straight road brings significantly more independence with it. All these statements are just so stressed especially because there's a lot of scrap in the market. Before buying you should pay close attention to the almost always specified dimensions and weight, in order to assess whether the device the specified capacity may ever have. It should also be, at least at 10,000 mAh and higher, a special charger with multiple charging power have (compared to USB port), so that the charging time remains reasonable. The customer service is great. Immediate competent reaction and exchange readiness.
