The Gigabyte X79-UD5 is a nicely appointed Board. The build quality is very good. My choice fell on the board because it is one of the few who still have an (old) PCI slot. The only legacy is thus a SCSI hardware operated (works perfectly). And right there lurks a thick snare. This PCI slot SCSI controller is operated, which has its own BIOS, which is accessed using a keystroke combination. Put this controller, the UEFI BIOS of the motherboard can not be called! Making matters worse, which also does not work if the keyboard is connected via a KVM switch. That could ASUS earlier much better, why only 4 stars.
