I've already bought a lot of cameras and therefore the models quite good judge. The Nikon P520 provides at ISO 80 very good images up to ISO 200 the image quality is still good. Since the camera is quite faint due to the strong telephoto are good pictures only in bright light possible or to use for fairly static subjects a tripod or using flash. I myself am interested mainly for the tele / macro photography. As an example photo of the telephoto range I've uploaded times a Eisvogelbild. If you want to make a similar picture with a DSLR, it is often beyond the 2,000 euros mark and shall clearly more (> 2 kg). The macro photography I can not test, but love for all the macro photos with a great depth of focus, can certainly possibly do with this camera with flash and macro lens very good shots. For those who frequently take pictures in low light or fast moving subjects photographed should rather look for another camera. The wu1a adapter (I me for my Nikon D7100) have bought this product also adjusts the Nikon P520. Unfortunately, the remote control options are very limited (only zoom + triggering, no camera settings visible / available). The battery life is also quite short, ie an external charger + 2 battery are highly recommended. I could use my old Nikon P5100 it already. Since I currently lacks a good telephoto (> = 400mm) for my DSLR and I prefer wearing 600g instead of 2.4 kg during walks, the Nikon P520 is a good alternative in bright light.
