The keyboard is well made, looks plain and simple (I really like), and the noise is acceptable. Although it is not a whisper, but compared to my old, mechanical PS2 keyboard is a big step forward. The keyboard works without problems under Linux: just plug in the USB cable and it works. No special drivers required. It works both when plugged when the computer is already running and startup. Another USB keyboard that I had once tried, caused problems when she was already plugged in at boot (Debian Linux Jessie). Even the parallel operation with a PS2 keyboard is working properly. The F keys are "normal" occupied and function without any change in software is required (see. Logitech K270 / K290).
Overall I would recommend the Logitech K280e very.
On the Logitech website Logitech K280e is no longer listed. But it is still available on Amazon.
