BUT:
It is produced entirely correct for the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact, as there is a manufacturing fault.
The smartphone has an integrated (more or less) oval proximity sensor upper left of the screen and right above the front camera.
The sensor should actually remain free to work correctly, the camera on the other hand it does not matter if it is pasted over by wafer-thin glass. But the glass offered here for the Z1 Compact has only one recess and is round and is located exactly where the camera is. The glass, it is also not the other way round stick (so that the round recess would be above the already larger oval sensor), because:
The glass is provided on its adhesive side delivered with a protective film. This replaces you and sticks of course the previously protected side then on the display, logical. But if you do that, the sensor is just pasted over and the camera remains free nonsensically.
This has the consequence that the sensor no longer works quite right. Taking the phone talking to your ear, the display will indeed eventually dark, but if you take away the smartphone from the cheek after the end of the call (because you want to push the conversation-Stop button on the screen or to see how long one has phoned), it is often very long black before again something is displayed. The direct consequence of overstickering with the glass.
Can happen even once. But what particularly annoys me is that the seller has even stuck a note on the packaging, on the states that you should stick the glass so that the sensor remains free and the camera is pasted over. Exactly what does not work, as I have explained above. Means to me: either out deliberately misleading and really simpleton glue the glass treudoof with the wrong, unprotected side on the display. Or the seller knows his own product does not, however, writes false evidence about it. I hope the latter. Still not nice. Under certain circumstances, I would in fact decided with the knowledge for another glass for my Z1 Compact. Now it's too late and I live with the stigma.
The installation instruction is actually bad. English only, this is also completely wrong and the pictures are too small. But if you're not completely stupid, you get that too without towards. This even help the enclosed liquid cleaning cloth (to grease and oil) and then drying the cloth very well.
The application was possible in a clean environment and with the least possible without raising dust current shower with no dust particles between the glass and display.
Now you have to see what the longer service provides. So the quality makes a good impression, but this (knowingly) design flaws detract from the enthusiasm but then significantly.
