This case is inexpensive and well suited to the EOS 500D with 18-55mm IS lens standard and provides good protection. I bought the camera to take in my travels and I regret two aspects: 1. To close the case with the zipper, it must pass the straps of the device into the slot on top of the case, which takes time. It would have been much more convenient that the case has a flap lid with Velcro closure and the ends of the belt passes through side slits like my Panasonic FZ38 bridge case for example. 2. There is no room for a spare battery in the case which is a shame.
