The dimensions are 12 x 7.6 x 1.5 cm. The housing is made of glossy coated aluminum. Does not look quite as wertig like the plate of my Trek goals but is still visually appealing.
The connection of the upper and lower part together took place without bolts and is thus not readily re-open. Inside tinkers with me a Toshiba MK 1059GSM SATA / 300th
A small blue LED indicates whether the drive is active, next to the micro USB attached 3.0 jack for connecting the supplied cable. On the board itself is still a manual in PDF format stored
Is connected to the PC / NB the plate with the 53 cm long USB 3.0 cable, which is slightly more than the usual 2.0 cable and thus also somewhat stiffer in diameter.
The plate was detected with me on the PC and on NB immediately. Formats it is in NTFS format, whereby files are transferred without problems of over 4GB.
In operation it runs almost silently and without significant heating. The use is only possible via USB 2.0, while she reads with 26 MB / s and writes at 23 MB / s, ok for me to go much faster with USB 3.0.
Cons I've not found.
