Good choice for Blitzphobiker

I've bought the flash for my SONY RX10. The choice fell on the METZ because my Sony devices were all a little too big. Moreover, it was important to me that the number of functions was manageable. I'm one of those who have the theme "Blitzen" always approached with a lot of reservations. Nevertheless, I realized that it hardly comes in many situations without.
Who has always dealt with the subject at least, which open up the functions almost intuitively.
The mechanical and - as far as recognizable - Electr (on) ic processing works well and high quality. Something very delicate, however, is the design of the Sony-specific contacts on the hot shoe. These consist of thin wire loops that if you're not careful, can easily be moved in her seat, or even damaged. The supplied cover when not in use compulsory (but I am curious to see how long it takes until I lost it).
During a family leisure last weekend (when it was still so beautiful on 1 November) I tested the flash extensively, usually with the mounted diffuser. During the day he came mostly in TTL mode to Shadow Adjustment Technology in sunlight for use - impeccable pleasant illumination. Also in the evening at "sports, games, excitement" could fully convince the flash.
I made about 200 pictures at the weekend with flash; yet not weaken the batteries.
As I said, I am by no means a "Strobist", but also with me are with this flash and the RX10 successful flash photos is no longer just a coincidence.
