The following refers to the Grundig RCD 1450:
Sound: good. It lacks bass, but is ok and better than the competition. For me the sound is most important.
Tuner sensitivity: So far very satisfied, both FM and DAB +. FM reception is better than the Grundig RCD 1440! There are now quite ordinary DAB + stations and DAB + offer is quite varied. Because digital, there is no noise at DAB +. Toll!
LCD Display: LCD blurred slightly and the number of letters could be a bit longer, but is ok. When DAB +, it is very informative to be able to read music tracks and group.
Connections: Headphones.
Service:
1) Rotary switch for CD, USB, etc.: but bit fiddly, my 5-year-old son can handle it
2.) On / Off button: As separately, that's good
3.) Volume: grip and good
4.) Switch between MP3 directories: might be easier going but
5.) Switch between DAB transmitters: good
Reliability: To date, both devices have no problems (CD + USB): The 1440 is used almost every day since the beginning of October 2012, which since mid-November 2012, more times a week in 1450.
Suitable for Children: Despite fiddly dial the children use the radio a lot.
Price: The price of about 100 euros, I find a little high.
