I actually wanted me to Edge 810 not buy because the shiny shell looks a bit cheap on the pictures - if one then has him in the hand, the device is but handled properly.
Switching from Edge 705 functions without problems even though the menus / logic now another (usually better) is.

reason to buy for me:
- Use of separate and magnet-free cadence and speed sensors possible
- Bluetooth connection to the smartphone (unfortunately only 2.1 rather than 4.0 installed)

who has the control or general questions and halfway understands English found at
dcrainmaker.com an excellent description of all possibilities.

I accidentally deleted the complimentary default map on my phone 705 and the German support hotline asked to give me this 12 MB file via email or download. Result - very unfriendly staff says no - I shall let play Send unit and for 40 euros file. even if it was for the 705, it's the same support which is also responsible for 810. I find the answer very naughty, expensive and unacceptable even from an environmental perspective (unnecessary transport). So who looks as a customer with Garmin for help has a hard time - a waste of time.
