Calls are well understood on both sides, the mobile phone but a bit dull (E-Plus). The built-in speakerphone is ok and to change the D1 network, voice quality was much better, see addendum at the bottom of 01/03/2013
The camera is quick and good at the level of an 8-megapixel camera, at least with the right menu setting: It can in the "Best Photo" take up to 8 seconds until the shutter sound comes. There are here several photos shot and only the best remain. It is also much faster with just under one second, if you restore the default settings. Even faster is in "landscape shot", there the autofocus is activated and it takes only 0.3 to 0.4 seconds to store the image. This setting is almost always suitable from a distance of 1m. In the evening and at night you should choose "Night Portrait" and change there once on Tungsten, then tune the colors without the need to make improvements. You can even select the ISO values, z. B. for shooting in low light or shooting sports with fast movements. For a cell phone camera with naturally small lens I am very satisfied.
Elson Mobistel T1 and T2 with TV connection: it works with the cable set from the Nokia N82, the AV cable CA-75U 3.5mm 4-pole plug to 3x RCA possibly on scart adapter also works when Elson mobile: System Settings - Display - TVAusgang Enable (checkmark), then including the TV system to NTSC (!) switch. This solution is qualitatively quite a bit away from HDMI and also the tone grunts, but it is universally applicable: RCA or SCART connectors offer even oldest hotel televisions. Anyone who owns a newer, large TV with USB port can connect his phone as USB mass storage, and so enjoy movies in high quality HDMI and with best sound.
The Nokia cable will also work on Omnia Pro B7610. Cable for the Samsung should also fit so. Unfortunately does not work any AV adapters, cables of a Mediabox not working. But even higher-priced MHL-suitable mobile phones often have problems with adapters due to incompatibility, lack of power supply or inappropriate TV.
The display glass stands out ostensibly to read in some forums for Elson Mobistel T1. I think not, because the T2, probably the T1 is supplied with 3 screen protectors. GPS and Navigation: The GPS receiver is quick, just 15 seconds after the signal there, the site is located on the map. But this is true only from the 2nd time GPS On: The mobile phone was 12000km away produced (allegedly at Foxconn, which also produce the IPhone5). There are other GPS satellites in the sky, so that the phone here, needs in the US or in the Canary Islands during the first search 15 to 20 minutes, until all the world's existing satellites were interrogated. The first search was to take place under the open sky as possible, until the position is fixed. Then, once the receipt is ok, the phone saves the settings for the next time. Then it takes just 15 seconds, even in the car.
Navigating goes without an internet connection, and even free if you Mapfactor Navigator Free downloads and the necessary maps and voice downloads there in the settings once, is best to install the wireless network at home on an additional SD Micro card. There you can select the fastest or shortest route, and if you are traveling further alternatives erroneously calculated. Not always perfect, but quite useful. A guide as a .pdf file for the Navigator are available from Garmin on the Internet.
As android newbie I got along well with the same device, after two days it was all set as desired. Even nicer television often works as long as the servers are not overloaded there.
A month later, Supplement dated 03.01.2013:
PC connection: The cable can be subtracted from the supplied plug-in charger and then connect the USB port of PC. Once the cable is plugged in and the phone you have to turn on the phone. Immediately then comes on the phone screen asks whether you want to connect to the PC. Once you confirmed that automatically recognize the built-in memory card and the inserted SD card from your PC after a few seconds, that worked here with both Windows 7 and Ubuntu Linux.
Ebook Reader: One can read on the 5-inch screen also eBooks, if one is downloading the CoolReader the quite pleasant and you can many books partly free download to always have.
WiFi: Some complain that the compounds are not very good. Compared with my ASUS netbook, the phone is indeed somewhat weaker in the reception when you hold it in your hands and so the built-in wireless antenna shields. Exposed on the table it is usually good enough, even though a wall to the router is in the way or two. Compared with my old Samsung B7610 the T2 when wireless receiver cuts off about equivalent.
No phone reception: For me the new phone Simyo (E-Plus) was less satisfactory and the connections broke then off often, so I had to switch to Congstar (D1 network). The problem comes at Simyo apparently unfortunately more common, though, switching to new phones or the tariffs. So I can not blame the phone, especially since the simyo card now does not work properly in the old phone there. In this work D1 network.
Six months later, Addendum of 21 May 2013:
Half a year has passed and it pleases still good. If I had to mention a downside it would be the lack of hardware button to take pictures. One must touch the shutter on the screen, as with many other phones, which is a bit uncomfortable because you need both hands to. Nevertheless: A top cell phone at any time gladly again.
December 2013: I have the T2 devalued by an asterisk, because the resolution of the display is not quite up to date and only satisfactory. The wireless receiving a z. B. Galaxy Mega is significantly more sensitive and Page Building the web faster. However, the T2 is better with phone reception and offers 2 SIM-board slots. The GPS receiver for navigation is at T2 although ok, but here costs a lot more battery power and is hardly more than an hour with the cell phone battery feasible. This can Samsung much better.
