NOTE: - (!) Since the radio has no right off what the manufacturer does not mention - it should only be operated with Can Bus. Thus, if the ignition key is removed, the device must also be switched off. If that does not, the panel must always be removed, which is certainly impractical. So first test!
As an accessory I still have bought "adapter JVC KS-BTA100 Bluetooth" to. More on that later.
Now for JVC
- The processing makes a solid impression.
- The front of the display is glossy.
- An AUX jack is on the front (jack).
Display
- The display has a good resolution, but is not as brilliant - through lack of contrast - such as on the product image. But is in a minority in this price range so I've tested. Rating: Good
- The touch screen works perfectly and quickly.
- The design of the user interface has succeeded.
- The keys to the left are lit and can be customized in any color the interior of the car. Also continuous color changes can be set. Similarly, the display of the display and the text. Custom background images are also possible. Thus the own tastes are almost no limits. Top!
USB
- The USB connection is only at the back and is out with an approximately 80 cm long cable from the device. So you can set it in the glove compartment. This has the advantage not extend the USB sticks from the front for me. Also, some have a lighting data access would also interfere. Ideal for me.
- Navigation through directories could go a little faster. Cover and detailed ID tags are displayed.
- Videos are the manufacturer of USB with a data rate up to 2 Mbps possible by CD with 4 MB. Example: 90 minutes Films (DivX) with a size of about 700 MB - for the screen size more than adequate - are easily playable via USB. Falter with 1.5GB or interrupt them. By contrast, CD easily. Does the test but more. Image is sharp and good.
Clay
- The sound is clean and powerful. No comparison to the factory radio, Audience. Do not use another amplifier. The extensive settings of the sound is good to adapt to the built-in speakers and standard boxes of Octavia and sound much better now.
- Each input can be individually adjusted. Top!
- Radio reception I could not test enough. But sound is powerful and strong bass.
CD
- Runs quietly and unobtrusively. Videos are played in the following formats (tested by me): Divx, MPEG 1 + 2 and DVD. Dolby Digital audio and MP3. See operating instructions.
Bluetooth
- The connection is, I think, a lot of nerve! Nothing in the package suggests! No infected and get started. For the power supply 3 loose cables are to somehow be mounted on the wiring harness and terminals for soldering or otherwise. Then I was not prepared. One has here no skill or ingenuity you is delivered! The easiest way is let go from a professional or just as a tip, the question 3 cable of the cable harness through separate, isolate and from those of the Bluetooth (color-coded) to connect oa by luster terminals. The audio is connected to the back (AUX in). Here you need an adapter This requires to buy! Jack to 2x RCA. Although does not cost much, but if you do not have to hand that's annoying. Connectors: Flop! Considering the price, the work and the few euros for the adapter you should think about the good. Who Bluetooth necessarily requires and do not want to tinker should equal a radio buy in that is already installed.
If you have mastered all the hurdles but the module works really good and reliable. Pairing with your mobile phone is simple. Calls as well. Voice quality and sound when streaming music is really very good!
But as now reichts with the experience. ;-)
Conclusion:
It really has some effort and cost for me been necessary to install the device.
The JVC itself but makes a high impression. The sound is very good. Operation is simple. The display is good, as is the menu.
Less good are the somewhat sluggish navigate through directories and restrictions on the videos.
Questions can be made happy.
Thank you for your attention!
