+ Full HD IPS panel.
+ Fast enough for surfing and office work.
+ Lightweight for 10 inches in particular with keyboard.
+ Discreet look and decent build quality. I could see no coarser gaps.
+ Back insensitive to fingerprints.
+ Ordinary battery life of 6-7 hours. No Klassenbestzeit but for everyday use. The keyboard sucks not overly power.
+ In view of the fact that already a keyboard is excellent price / performance ratio.
+ Office 365 for one year with us.
+ Windows 8.1 reveals its strengths (and a few weaknesses) exactly when this device class. The update to Windows 10 is approaching already and also looks very exciting.
+ Switching between tablet and computer mode is very fluid, as you have to fold only the keyboard. Since these are not as competitors weighs much with massive keyboard, to do that more often (with Acer, Asus and Co. have been using the keyboard so usually than 1 kg in hand which is too uncomfortable for extended use tablet).
+ Usable touchpad with Windows 8 gestures.
A few minor negative points can be given the price get over:
o The display pulsates sometimes slightly, especially in solid areas.
o The display reflects heavily and is also not above-average brightness to these flaws aside again.
o The unit will become hot - okay, but unfortunately just on the left side, where you as a right-handed considers it most. It is not really hot, but in the long run a little uncomfortable.
o The edgy design makes it not a flatterer.
The Miix 3 stands out from other devices yes particular through the supplied keyboard from what is not a foregone conclusion at the current price in this class. Right here there are unfortunately two - for me - coarser problems:
- The unit can only be installed at an angle, and this angle is very steep. Will not look at an angle to the screen one, you have to right to push away the Miix 3 out of hand. Due to the 10 inch screen that goes then only limited if you do not have eagle eyes. Add to that the strong reflection, by design, you can hardly avoid this, because the angle can not change.
- The biggest disappointment for me was the keyboard, and I do not mean the short stroke or the pure size of the keyboard. These are both by design. Those who choose a 10-inch tablet, can also expect only a correspondingly large keyboard. Who wants to have it light and compact gets a flat keyboard that may not have much lift. So far so good - the keyboard is actually pretty good mechanically. Lenovo has unfortunately - and this may be subjective - set the keyboard layout in the sand. The Enter key must be sought, the shift key is too small and that's worst for me in everyday life that the numeric keypad, a button is moved to the right, as it has accommodated special characters before the 1. Who often times to do with numbers, is really not happy with this layout. Just Lenovo should know better but it.
Unfortunately I could start with the Miix 3 at the end very little. It is a perfect size, the weight is pleasant and the price / performance ratio very good for me. That Miix 3 are brought out precisely because of the keyboard and since me the layout and fixed screen lineup has yet massively disrupted.
