Good, expensive and nothing new.

The problem with the iPhone 6: The greater the expectations, the greater the disappointment!
Here I describe my experience so far with the current iPhone 6 Apple and my assessment in comparing the two systems Android and iOS, purely subjective and incomplete than the average consumer. Maybe it helps one or the other at a purchase decision.

Now that I have an iPhone 4 was in use for 4 years, I have now decided to to purchase a new iPhone 6 with 64 GB. I had planned originally, possibly switching to a Samsung Galaxy S4 or S5. Not because I was dissatisfied with the iPhone 4, quite the contrary, but simply because a new iPhone you know, not exactly cheap. Before Christmas, I now had the opportunity to test a mid-range Android smartphone extensively, which should get my daughter for Christmas. That has me makes my decision clear, not necessarily pro iPhone 6, but per iOS.

At first my decision criteria for Bestriebssystem:

+ For iOS:
No tinkering. With Android, I felt immediately reminded of Windows from Bastel effort. Everyone knows that: boot system and wait until the device sometime all updates made, of which one does not know what they are good for the system at some point possibly is fully operational after a restart. Shudder!

+ For iOS:
Privacy and Parental Controls
The Android system is interesting, the possibilities to influence the privacy settings, however, are completely inadequate. Each x-arbitrary app wants access to all sorts of things that are not required for execution. That's when iOS partially otherwise. However, I can in the settings, Internet access, access to contacts, GPS etc. separately arrival and deselect. I miss sorely in Android. Since one can indeed be the subject of data protection fear and worry. A filtering function age-appropriate content is also lacking (that is to give it yes in the Android tablets). For the adequate use of smartphones which is of course very unfortunate.

+ For iOS:
Write permissions for Android
Had an eye-opening experience with a difference donee at Christmas probably involuntarily under the Christmas tree: the introduced with the update of the Android operating system 4.4 limiting the write access to apps on the external SD card. It is possible to say on the lot and loudly advertised expandable SD card frequently install any more applications. Stupid, who has since then acquired a 4 or 8 GB or 16 GB mobile tablet, to use it for big games. As it gets quickly closely with the memory. Even in the state routed many apps can not or do not install or move completely to the card. The much-quoted expandability of memory is limited now largely on personal data, music and photos.

+ For iOS:
Play Store vs. Apple Store
I was really surprised that it does not exist at many apps for Android. Our two children have really gained good games like Lego Star Wars, Harry Potter and Batman for iOS loving. And I use many apps from the categories DAW, synthesizer, tone generator (Steinberg / Korg / Moog etc.) Since there is virtually nothing reasonable for Android. That really surprised me. Everywhere we read that there indeed are there no differences between the systems. I can not confirm. The most important reason for me at all, why even to time indefinite my iPads are not exchanged by Android tablets. There is simply not the software you want for it. For this, however, masse scrap apps that are obviously previously excluded already better by Apple.

- For iOS:
Android and OTG
That's really even a really meaningful thing I painfully miss at Apple. Ran OTG cable and connect to USB devices. A clear advantage for Android. But you are well advised to inform themselves in advance which smartphone or tablet what exactly support. In the case of smartphones for my daughter OTG is not supported. In routed state it is only possible with restrictions, with additional external power supply for the USB device. I would love to because my Canon 7 D drangehängt to use the smartphone as an external monitor, unfortunately does not go with this phone, because it was artificially neutered by the manufacturer.

- For iOS:
Infrared (Manufacturer-dependent)
Has not Apple. Nor is probably pure. I find it really great for remote triggering of cameras and as a universal remote control for other devices.

- For iOS:
Screen Mirroring with Android (Manufacturer-dependent)
Screen Mirroring enables wireless transmission of compatible smartphone or tablet content in real time on the TV set. So you can eg. As a game from your phone transferred to the TV. So it writes Samsung. And indeed really works for you between TV and Andoid smartphone very well, I was thrilled. Also library content can be as stream on the television, wow. This is Apple so not without Apple TV sometimes not and then also limited.

- For iOS:
Radio
There is still not a normal radio. The network coverage is not still so that one can reasonably hear uninterrupted Internet radio. In sometimes not trains. I think that in any case important!

- For iOS:
Airdrop
Something meaningful has not yet come with Airdrop between my devices into existence. That made me not convinced so far.

Now to the actual device:
It has NFC. Toll. What can you do with it? Nothing. It has a normal radio. It has no infrared. It is not waterproof. It has no OTG. Yes, what does it matter?
It is said to have one of the best cameras available currently. OK. This is an argument, and indeed for me the argument. I have now not verified in laboratory conditions, because I did not do the best smartphones around the home then compare all. Rather, for me, the question is what you can expect from a top smartphone with a very high price. And there must go a lot more in my opinion. The shooting day with lots of light are really very good. The HDR function is very useful. And the flash is now very mature. Digital image stabilization works very well. The problem is the small sensor. That's just way too small. And that's why it roars in low light just too much, especially in video quality is for me unacceptable. That is and remains a workaround. Forget the slow motion and schnicki Schnacki and builds as a larger sensor and a larger lens with the same. Since it takes time a real innovation on the market. And tell me now, please not that this is a smartphone and no camera. I want a high quality camera in my phone, that has to go! It is precisely the ability to instantly generate images and content anywhere and ship makes so the attraction of a smartphone.

One of the best smartphone cameras is currently the noise on the quality of small snapping of ten years ago, no longer. This accusation can be the other manufacturers also make, only Apple has always been clock and I mean there really would have to go more.

The iPhone 6 is a really good smartphone, there are also other fathers with beautiful daughters. I like the superior manufacturing quality and the operating system is me. The battery lasts me through quite a long. The device is very fast, everything runs smoothly, the reception just with LTE is very good. I find the device but too expensive. There has never met my expectations with regard to the camera.
The camera costs a star and the lack of innovation, coupled with the absence of radio, lack of water tightness and lack of infrared and pointless-cost NFC two star. I pack a star back on it, which applies to almost all Apple products: I do not mess around in the system. It just works - yet, because the errors in the updates are piling up, since Apple must be careful!
