The filter runs with me in a 54l aquarium, with 4 and 6 CPO`s cardinal fish. The filter performance is fine, the service life is, of course, relatively short, particularly in the run-in phase. I clean the filter currently still every week gross of external contamination. (No intensive rinsing until no more dirt comes out of the sponge, because the bacteria inside.) The pump is very quiet, even if I stand in front of the aquarium, I did not hear them. If you have to clean the filter sponges, you should turn off the pump and then remove the pipe crowns, including the filter sponges, which is easier than the sponges to fumble later in the water back to the pipes on it.
Conclusion: To date, I am very satisfied. For the price, can only be recommended.
