To put it straight to the point, the drive makes a lot of fun. What Cyrus and her many collaborators have delivered here is popular music at the highest technical level and impressive diversity. Boredom simply does not display. It has no purpose to take on each song, that would only be tiresome. Overall, one can speak of a highly successful blend of various bits and pieces of modern music, where hip-hop elements, R'n'B and all sorts of reminiscences are a mess in diverse styles. The production is without reproach, it was clearly true professionals at work.
The lead single "We Can not Stop" was already out in the summer and is the party anthem of Generation Abiturjahrgang par. "Grow up" the mood of young people on the threshold has been well mapped rarely so perfect both musically and in this Dadaist party song.
Its our party we can do what we want
Its our party we can say what we want
Its our party we can love who we want
We can kiss who we want
So la da di da di, we like to party
Everybody who is around 18, or can remember this time, know exactly what I mean. The freaky video which will be delivered to all the sets on the crown. Must see! For me this is the single Primus inter pares, the thickest point on the disc.
Fortunately, however, much more is offered on Bangerz. Already the first song makes itself heard, it concerns with "Adore You" to a nice creamy love tearjerker that gets better with every listen. I would, however, not chosen it as an introduction to the album. Miley's voice comes here very good effect. Whenever on distortion and computer effects a la Autotune is waived, you may find that Miss Cyrus has a remarkable vocal organ. Although does not quite equal the dynamism and variance of a Lady Gaga zoom, but far for a "commercial" pop starlet definitely above average. Since even a concert will be worth for me.
Well, to the scandal-ridden second single "Wrecking Ball" has to be said not much. A Dr. Luke production of very strong varieties. Chartbreaker with announcement, as usual when Doc. The calculated commercial success does the quality of the songs, however, not detract. Singing class, perfect stress buildup and at least meaningful and credible lyrics make that thing to hit. Video not everyone likes, I think it's nice.
Now you might think the rest of song material will probably be mainly filling compound. As with many other stars who throw a rather loveless album on the market every year, and the Taler juvenile clientele collect (Rihanna). But far from it! Here not only fanboys and fangirls are served. 4x4 (feat. Nelly), for example, is a wonderfully oblique song, uptempo with funny accordion deposits. Feels like a Cajun Dance excessive board. Goes straight into your ear and you teeters automatically. Large ears cinema.
The "Stand by Me" feature "My Darlin '" is a song whose atmosphere increases with each listen. Technically perfect ausgeglügelte soundscape and wonderfully sung by Miley Cyrus. The classic of Ben E King was quite outstanding modernized and does not wear off even with excessive listening. Similar quality has also the ballad "Drive". All this picking apart the details is absurd, because in the end it's still just pop, and does exactly what it should: entertain the listener.
A song I would like, however, but to address briefly. An absolute highlight of the album, the bombastic ballad "FU". Very dramatic issue here to work in the style of Amy Winehouse or a James Bond songs. French Montana controls congenially male rap parts in. The song comes on you like a hurricane, and leaves me open-mouthed. Was that really Miley Cyrus? I have to take the CD out of the player and look. I put a spell on you.
An impression in my opinion, runs through the entire album. It feels like everything vaguely familiar, ever heard similar before. Maybe this is also due to my not exactly small music collection. I want an example refer to the bonus track "On My Own". I've spend hours martyred brain where do I know this instrumentation and song structure. Until I came on it. Comparing the piece please times with "Love Long Distance" by Gossip. Can you think of what? And so I feel almost constantly at Bangerz, all somewhere heard that before. However, I find that this impression is the quality of the album does not diminish, because pop music is actually quoted always even.
So people, now, of course, must be something to the promotional campaign of Miley Cyrus from Nashville, Tennessee said. I personally knew the young lady only by name, and they have musical ignored. But since in the last few weeks hardly a medium without "scandal reports" this singer got on (even the venerable Time Online has with "Miley Cyrus: A pop star in his oral phase" published an article, which became the most-read articles of the day (lol)) I became aware of the girl. The bigoted, trimmed on terror Elaborate of several journalists who annoyed me and the many Hater comments of readers downright angry. About taste can be known to argue, but not one that Cyrus has enjoyed one of the most remarkable and successful image and promotion campaigns of our time in recent weeks. Look at the sales figures of the album and of "Wrecking Ball" on, double No. 1 in the UK for example! With its "nude scandals" she asked the far renomierteren fellow Perry and Gaga, which publish in October also, by far in the shade. Everyone is talking only of Cyrus. Chapeau!
But what really makes me happy that this album has substance. There has been much cackling, but it was also placed! And that is ultimately only.
Thanks to Miley Cyrus and her collaborators for this brilliant work of contemporary pop music. In November, is likely to Markus Lanz can thank her, for a few more viewers that turn his tepid shipment.
Welcome Miley in the illustrious circle of A-List celebrities. Make something of it!
