The sound can match almost with my hi-fi headphones. Only very slight bathtub shape in the frequency response, ie, bass and treble are slightly emphasized. But that does not bother, because the bass are not mushy or wummernd also at higher volumes.
The space is fantastic. Where the Koss like matschte something presents the PX 100 II all the details is wonderfully precise.
That there is a 32 Ohm / 40 headphones at work, is hard to believe. Here the version 2 is really an evolution times.
The open form shields a course not of ambient noise, and I surmise, nor is the environment prior to the owner's favorite music when heard accordingly loud. Is perhaps for railway frequent travelers worth considering. Another slight smear could be that, unlike the version 1 no hardshell case more is included. I do not mind that both, so from me full credit.
Addendum: After just over a year came first a wobbler in plug-close, then a complete cable break and thus failure of one channel. The headphone jack is always handled with care and not exposed to excessive loads. This is a place from which an experienced manufacturer like Sennheiser knows that the stresses on the material are higher there. Such a thing can only be deliberately designed to weak, so two stars away.
