This 5.1 home cinema system from LG is good. Not perfect, not bad - good. Appearance: The appearance of this system like it very much. It has now to be no angular / rounded boxes more in the room, but visually modern, black and shiny balls. (Where they are not exactly spherical;)) Also the (I'll call it ..) DVD player fits visually into the picture. Positive noticed is to me that he is not so much big as the competition. Picture: Against the image is nothing to say. By connecting the device with HDMI cable to the home TV, it provides a good picture. Only the transitions between some titles on DVDs sometimes need a little (little! Only a small drop outs). The upscaling is doing well his ministry and makes it work well. Sound: Now for the most important, the sound - again scores the LG system. The sound comes clearly and with good bass / treble from the speakers. A noise is not audible (even in absolute silence). Even the subwoofer delivers good bass - all in all, not bemängelnswert.
Now to the criticisms: - The remote control is a bit cumbersome, and perhaps is not any. - The system does not support DTS - There is no digital input - ie the receiver only Chinch connectable. -> Not a real 5.1 sound for TV programs - The pre-defined EQ modes are not really explained, unfortunately in the accompanying description
All in all, it is as I said a good investment. Who does not want to spend a lot, who likes the look of the system and who can do without Dolby Sorround in television programs should you!
