Preliminary a few things I've read in other recessions:
As would be the palm rest. The wrist rest sat really better in the G15, but this palm rest is also absolutely fine.
The space bar does not disappear under it and can also be without the dislocated thumb reach. The "unergonomic edge" which does not provide a smooth transition to the table is extremely comfortable for me (to the beginning of August I will this recession in particular in terms of comfort again revise .. after the LAN party, and the associated 36-hour test, you always know more;)). However, I can also imagine that for people with even bigger hands than I could be unpleasant) (and mine are already not small). Therefore you should go might actually (as recommended) in an electronics market and the whole survey in person.
The feet:
Japp .. The feet are the same as at the G15 before she too .... are in an estimated 9-12 months simply store? (At least one .. enough, too;))
Here Logitech has not retrofitted. My recommendation here: pack handkerchief packs with adhesive tape with the keyboard corners. Although Looks completely stupid but has 2 major advantages: First, you can individually influence the amount of (more or less wipes) "swings" on the other hand the keyboard by the pad minimal with what to LAN parties particular leads to erhötem comfort;)
Stop too vague: it is a little softer than the G15, but not really fatal in fact. Wherein a keystroke always is something personal, something everybody has to decide for themselves.
To Gerringer key spacing: As said I have big hands. After just over 2 minutes you get used to the wonderful buttons. After about 5-10 minutes I have already typed back into long-known speed. So the key spacing you get used to jerk twitch.
So .. now I come to my personal rating:
The only reason why the number of positive aspects is very limited, because I see the keyboard with the G15 and will be marked with an O all things that are good, but not much better than in the G15.
+ Solid: Apart from your feet makes everything a solid impression. The additional buttons and controls for the media player, the mute, volume control, mute the headset and microphone, the gaming mode look very solid.
+ Lighting: Many colorful colors! The lighting is really great. The lighting of the M1-M3 keys could be a little clearer. However, the keys are clearly visible (even without top to watch it)
+ Headset ports: (Edit): I now had time to test the headset connections. Once you plug the headset into the keyboard takes up this it was defined about 5 sec. As the default device. Anyone (like me) for example wants to hear about the rig music prefer, can also specify in the Control Panel's sound card as the default device, moment during which specifies the keyboard as Standargerät Skype / Teamspeak. So you can talk through the headset and does not have to unplug the headset specially when the call is over and you want to hear music again. Top!
O display: Apart from the fact that it can shine in many bright colors, it is exactly the same as in the G15. It's even the same size (which you would not expect in looking at the pictures). Nevertheless, everything is (even the RSS feed) easy to read. At least for young eyes.
O Gaming mode, Media player buttons, mute button: Everything as in the good old G15 .. only solid.
O G-keys: As for the arrangement, you have to get used as die-G15 users of course, especially since the buttons are numbered not from the top down, but from left to right. But should not take too long)
- USB Port: For the G15, the USB port has been not quite so much as it was for a no USB 2 and also some sticks not fit for anderne due to the low-lying position to me. This problem was solved by Logitech quite radical. There is simply no more. Pity!
- The feet: Let's hope that they do not remain eternal weakness in the G-keyboards. Unsound and too deep. A pity.
Much more remains not to say for the time being. After the LAN (first weekend in August) I post here a stress test)
Buying but I can definitely recommend it for people with good eyes and matching hands!
=============================
Edit: So! Now here is the "evaluation" of the 36-hour stress test.
From Friday to Saturday was said LAN, in which the keyboard has now been tested in extreme continuous use times.
Great story to tell but there is no.
In terms of comfort, the keyboard keeps everything a what I have vowed before the LAN. Again, I have to add that this can vary from person to person ... depending on how large your own hands are.
For stability can be as far as to say that it has the LAN survived .. including transportation back and forth;) ... That's what I call what .. ^^
