The separate numeric block I look with mixed feelings. Einersteits it is convenient because the keyboard is thus handy. Even with the entry of many numbers it is convenient because you can place it as it suits you best (Calculator Feeling). On the other hand, it is for the fast times-between by using practical every time to look for the numeric block and move here ..
What really bothers me about this extremely keyboard is the huge battery needs. In my first version kept the batteries (also Duracell Ultra Power expensive) about 4 weeks. Mind you only the keyboard. In mouse and number pad were more than a year, the first of all in there. I then awhile fought against the former MS-Kundenserivce (No Support of hardware through the telephone hotline!) Until there has told me an employee annoyed that this was not normal actually. Amazon has changed the keyboard without hesitation. When present, the batteries about 15 days. Batteries less than a week ... strange.
If there was a good and ergonomic alternative (perhaps a Sculpt with cable ..), I would have long since switched.
