First of all I must say that the UI of Synology is great, and the desired functions (Cloud, contacts, calendar) I could without much difficulty be realized. Absolute PC layman, I would still advise against a purchase, everyone else is sure helped with the numerous YouTube tutorials.
Unfortunately, the server responds with measured 56.5 dB + is quite disturbing in the study. Was given the NAS on Synology website with 19.2 dB. The fan is set to silent mode and also in developed hard drives does not change the sound. I will now consider replacing the fan. I am unsure if I have a Monday device, all other reports from a very quiet operating noise.
Addendum: After replacing the fan with a Noctua NF-B9 of the NAS is now quiet and barely audible.
