On paper, this clock radio has it all. Looking long clock able to set the time automatically (DCF77), which differentiated alarm management week / weekend, with a digital radio tuner and the ability to adjust the brightness. So I thought to have found the Holy Grail with this alarm clock from Philips. Unfortunately, in practice it has several very annoying defects: - Progressive alarm volume is a good idea ... at first. Indeed, the sound rises gently allowing not wake up with a start, the problem being that it keeps up! The first reflex is therefore a gesture of ill humor to stop this aggressive increase in the volume. This is unfortunate for a feature just think for a gentle awakening ... - The brightness setting is indigestible. Either it's a real beacon in the night bothers to sleep or it is barely visible in the night (you know, when you emerge half and you just want to capture the time before falling again) . Why not have a built-in ambient light sensor or a real fine tuning? - The screen display is not uniform angles of visions. Some segments are brighter than others depending on the angle and in particular, when one is directly in front. This is annoying because normally, being in front we should have had the best possible view. - Ergonomics was poorly thought. Dial to hyper sensitive side buttons placed so back to handle blind ... - The paper user manual is not complete and does not have all the settings. If you want to make the attempt, but I advise you to download the manual from the manufacturer's website.
In short, a real potential but completely spoiled by design flaws. (Returned product)
