Cumbersome and useless in my eyes, however, the planning of routes, with intermediate targets: in normal operation (menu "Destination input") are provided intermediate targets. Only after selecting the menu item "trips" can be entered via points, but with the following restrictions:
* Route calculation is only up to the first stopover (!)
* Tours always start at the current position (entry of an alternative starting point is not possible)
Thus it is for example not possible to plan a tour at the resort in advance or to influence a route targeted by intermediate targets.
The route planning on the PC is just as disappointing: in the PC software window of the online route planner is started by falk.de (including commercials)! Although the planned route can be transferred to the navigation system, but the starting point is to the first waypoint.
In summary, my pros and cons:
+ Simple destination input
+ Significant announcements at the appropriate time
+ Stable suction cup mount with magnets
+ Automatic switching between day and night display
- Unusable tour
- No search function for points of interest "along the route"
- Very small font in menus and map
- Position Arrow is not heard
- Graphical errors (flashing triangles) in 3D view
- Very smooth standby button without delay (accidental activation)
- During loading the PC ActiveSync blocked the operation of the F3 / F5
- Loading with an empty battery the F3 / F5 will start after a few minutes
Conclusion:
Since I've bought the F5 as a travel companion, I am very disappointed with the tour. I would therefore look at me again, buying from other manufacturers. Unless Falk makes the tour with an update of the navigation software "Falk Navigator 6" useful.
