The mounting of the camera on my monitor turned out though simple, but the USB cable is relatively heavy and a little too stiff in relation to the weight of the camera, so you less at the camera with the clip foot as by clever siting and jamming of the cable aligns the monitor.
The USB cable is not very long, so it down just enough from the top of the monitor and behind the table top times to the ground; a USB extension is called for when the PC is not directly under the monitor.
After plugging the Cam on my Windows 7/64 Bit computer immediately the Logitech Software Installer went off, although I still held the CD in their hands; Therefore the driver and the software suite are packed on the small cam. That's fine, if you dragged the camera from computer to computer and the CD may not take.
The installation should be allowed to go through and select the features offered carefully ... A small ugliness had the installer to myself, I could click away the checkmark for optional software while, but as soon as I had left with the mouse checkbox the tick was snails naughty again reingesetzt and thus last but then installs the complete ballet.
But now to the operation: The picture is really good, the sound is even better, and the automatic. Brightness adjustment lets me be radiant; even with indirect lighting in dark rooms are bright as day's shooting, without that I would complain about Grieseln or artifacts. I have also the PAL (50 Hz) flicker correction off because it was not necessary, making the image a bit "softer" was still.
The video format of the camera from 4: 9 to be changed, and the resolution can be adjusted in several stages;: 3 to 16 I naturally 720p (without optimization) chosen as the 720p * somehow blocks expected (with optimization) into the picture; probably is the "optimization" in a compression for video chat streams that you unfortunately - at least in their own preview - sees.
I am very pleased with the strong pipsqueak, and one of the many other fun features I turn the next video chat: The "face tracking" ...
After activating this option, the camera searches autom. for a face in the image and moves constantly, unless one does not move great, compose the image both horizontally and vertically, and zoom in gradually so justly that Rübennase coming back into the center of the picture; and a surprisingly large area!
From me a buy recommendation for a great video chat camera with added value; if you can route the USB cable so clean and really shaky mounting the camera on the counter display looks ...
