Unfortunately, the printer does not believe in the application in WLAN: The wireless scanning and printing via AirPrint works mostly on the first try, but while it remains - during a second following subsequent scan or pressure test the device regularly disappears and you have to education and Switch to the printer to make the computer visible.
Various Internet discussions on blame either to the printer, the network, the router, Apple, the operating system and / or the general inability of users. Unfortunately, there seems to be no consensus on how to resolve the issue reliably.
After a lot of anger and frustration with WLAN and driver settings, and repeated driver installations we have the printer now connected via a (not supplied by the way!) USB cable to the computer. Since then, we can more or less easily print and scan, which we had, however, decided to go straight for this model because it was supposed to print wirelessly.
Then yesterday the disillusionment that the black printer ink apparently already nearing the end. Incomprehensible, because we still had not printed 25 pages.
In addition, the printer is again after each print high-frequency beep-sounds, which is rather irritating.
On the print and scan quality of Epson XP-312 is in itself nothing wrong. But who is looking for a trouble-free printer and has no desire to deal with unverlässlichem device, wireless network settings and driver installations, should choose a different model.
