At the opening, I was impressed by its size, it really is compact and lightweight. For use with a Mac, this is problematic: it is formatted in NTFS therefore compatible with Windows only. We must then go through Disk Utility, and format the MS-DOS or Windows with FAT32. Very good write speeds. However! It has a standby mode which can not be turned off ... no software to configure or otherwise. In use, when we watch a film, for example it does not stop but when you press the sleep button mac, the hard drive goes to sleep too, it is embarrassing.
Strengths: - Compact and lightweight - Design and takes no dust - Very good rates
Weak points: - No configuration software - Not optimized for mac from first use - Short Cable 50cm (impractical for certain connections) - Too bright white LED that flashes
