I bought this product because I needed an RJ45 Ethernet additional location to connect a device, otherwise it comdamnait me the location with access to ADSL TV box on my router and it blew me away by its connection speed.
Only Downside, no switch on the box if you wish to turn off disconnect it by the plug.
