Used to replace a HDD 750GB on a ultranotebook Asus 13 "with core i5 2.5 Ghz switched off and separate graphics card. Comes with Samsung SSD optimization program. My windows 8 had become very slow in less than a year with some course programs installed to install the SSD I've done a complete reinstall of the operating system with some programs installed not corrupt Windows ... This is faster than before, the place is not a problem (256GB is enough, the data will external HDD USB 3.0) but I have the impression that the bottleneck of my laptop was more the system operating the HDD. I'm only half convinced by the SSD (although one of the best technically), I think to go faster is windows (which is corrupt over time) should be changed by an operating system point as a Mac OS for example ...
