Good product but some gaps! Update 09/07: Big disappointment

Big disappointment on the last update from Sony. Some features are available only for phones from the Sony brand. I think it's clearly disappointing to offer a product as compatible but says offering a degraded use for non-Sony.

If Sony does not improve this point, my original 5 star rating to 2 stars remain.

And also, I had an allergy to the metal part of the bracelet!

The smartband comes with two straps size S and L. Sony also gives us a USB cable to Micro-USB charging to enable Computer. There are also some books dinformation

The Smartband:

The product is actually quite small, it is a rectangular object with a button and a few diodes. DESZ reception, I put the product in his bracelet (S for me). He goes perfectly and we can see the LEDs and the button is easily accessible through a relief. The first use was simple to me. I just activated the NFC on my Samsung Galaxy S4 in 4.4.2 after having installed the three applications to enjoy 100% of the product which I will later. Jai took a shower this morning and the product is SUBMERSIBLE which is very interesting to run outside in the rain. The connection is done by Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy which means that the smartphone uses very little battery to keep the connectivity. I've had the right to a product update from the first connection. The battery takes 5 days. I lai charged yesterday in 14 hours and I still miss 3 days and 23 hours !!

The Software suite (most interesting):

Sony offers us downloading three applications to enjoy 100% of the product.

1 + SmartConnect laddon Smartband:

In a very sleek design, these applications allow the battery to know but especially the bracelet can be configured. Through a vibrating alarm, the Smartband can warn you for many things:
- Notifications: Notifications smartphone
- Alterte Out of range: Vibration if you forget the phone
- Incoming Call: Long vibration
These notifications can be disabled by unchecking but especially when switching to night mode that one can set automatically.
A function which is a big plus for me is the smart alarm clock that allows BE awakened within an interval that can be configured and that will get you out of sleep. What? Needless lanalyser and determine when you be in this range into a light sleep to wake you gently. Absolutely wonderful!
It is present in the center of notification with the mode in which we and battery represented by a small logo.

2 Lifelog:

This application can be used without necessarily having the Smartband but it would not really interesting. This application takes the dune shape your days timeline showing you what you did. The time it is outside is also integrated in it. IT can define his place dhabitation and also his workplace to know when we were at all locations.

There are today (27/04) 13 different categories:
- Life bookmarks: by pressing twice the button of smartband, it adds a bookmark
- Calories: number of calories burned
- No: Number of steps
- On: running time, calories burned and rider's distance
- Race: Same as running but with average more dominant appearance and dates
- Bed: Calculation of sleep time with the deep, light and time déveil.
- Social: Social Networks on Time
- Photo: Numbers of photos taken
- Music: Time to listen to music. On not quite as badly recognizes Spotify, it would be interesting daméliorer stuff
- Videos: Same as music but videos
- Games: Same as videos but on the Games
- Books Same as videos but on the Games
- Navigation: Same as videos but on newspapers, Chrome, etc ..
For each category, it is possible to set goals, not very attractive for.
The big plus is the opportunity to see on a map the path traveled lon using GPS built into your smartphone.
What it lacks today:
A category that when lon is in a car, on bike or other means of transport.
Possibility to know thanks to the word "floor", the number of steps that lon has moved up or down.
Improved recognition Spotify.
It would also be interesting to other activities such as pumps or my abs!
API opening possibilities for other sports apps!

Appraisal:

Very good product. It is perfectible, I hope Sony will continue updates to finalize this and thus make it really effective.
