SSD comes with a registration card to Acronis True Image 2014 (partial free version without backup) that allows to clone a complete disk, copy partitions (even of different sizes), and save scores as existing images in a hard drive. This requires windows.
The drive was easy to set up my laptop through a youtube video (10 min), recognized immediately and significantly improved my PC: reading writing to 270 against 40 for my old 7200 r / min, passed test drive 5.9 (7200 rev / min) under Windows 7.8. Access time from 16 ms to 0.1 ms !!!
Copying via e-sata port was made in less than 15 minutes for a 320 dd go to the SSD 240 go (about 60 GB of data).
Partitions can be managed and saved images with acronis but not requiring resizing disk director (fee).
Gparted on Linux works well for resizing partitions. Installing Windows and Linux in multiboot without difficulties.
Important note: the crucial support tells me that a garbage collector exists in the SSD firmware and therefore it is not necessary to implement a trim. Do not set the disk standby as it uses idle time to clean himself. The windows DD generic driver suitable. The AHCI is recommended but is not available in the BIOS of my HP laptop. For a MAC not need Trim Enabler since the GC is in the firmware of the SSD, so the Yosemite risque.info installation is possible without the support: On the PC or in a housing, regeneration by the GC can also be done in need staying on the bios window, without starting the OS, so the GC addresses the entire disk (overnight for example).
