Benefits:
- Quality voice optics
- Up to the Lightning connector probably no wearing parts
- Spatial sound pleasure
- Uniform volume control (volume buttons on the device Adjust the volume of the iPhone, not the gain)
Disadvantages:
- In its perception heavily recorded frequency profile at altitudes above all basses
- Real shutdown without Steckerziehen impossible
- IPhone 5s with Silicone Sleeve does not fit Lightning connector as it is too short dimensioned (iPhone there is contact closure on the dock on) - so always remove cover
A gimmick, which compensates for the lack of a remote control is of course the control via Siri. So you can be playing well by voice control or stop the unit. Simultaneously, the dock also works as a "haunting" clock in the morning, since it reproduces the alarm of the iPhone with much more vigor.
Overall, a good product - about the durability will have to be taken.
