As a comparison, I had the highly praised Benq W1070 here.
I am a layman in the field of projectors, for me, both projectors have a similarly good picture delivered. BenQ had the advantage that he could be placed much closer to the screen. That would have been peculiar, since the player would then have had more space, without permanently running into's image in the case of movement playing advantage. Night part of Benq, and thus return reason: He was too loud, I have also heard of Vermehr dust problems.
The Optoma is quieter and cheaper (even when the follow-up costs, ie. The costs of a new lamp), but it depends a little further away from the screen, which in movement Games of the radius is somewhat limited.
He is even in Eco mode with only half dark room bright enough, the 3D image is super (Eco also works).
Benefits:
- Low, even in the follow-up costs
- Good image both 2D and 3D
Bright enough even in Eco mode -
- Relatively quiet (but you can hear it in quiet scenes quite muffled sounds)
Disadvantages:
- No lens shift (once it is installed, does not bother more)
- Must be mounted relatively far away from the screen
- GUI used to (used but fortunately not often)
