Of course, they can really diverse machines also manually select. Unlike other cameras but that's not a separate wheel on the machine, but only via the menu. This slows down the selection of suitable automatic. This feature could have been solved in my opinion, with little effort. Other functions (such as the flash mode) can also be regulated directly via the existing buttons.
Also in this category is a special self-timer setting, which reacts as soon as a face is in focus of the camera. In addition, you can choose the so-called Makeup setting that makes skin tones appear more advantageous and compensates irregularities. This goes for my taste a bit too far. In detail:

The USB connector is concealed behind a small rubber cover, which was somewhat stubborn in the first few times. Due to the small size of the opening is pretty fiddly and you're afraid to destroy the good piece. For this, the cover is fixed to the camera, so you can not lose. In fact, the cover for the battery and SD card is easier to open, although you might need here not as often ran.
The menus are logical and intuitive. The user experience is really succeeded. In some cases there are even small notes, which include a certain item is used

It handles SD cards. I am using a 16GB SD card, which can store more than 4,000 photos in the highest resolution. When inserting the first it has paralyzed unfortunately the camera. After removing card and battery and re-inserting it all worked again.
Furthermore, a small flash is integrated, that rapidly available and can be adjusted directly via a button on the jog wheel. Overall, the flash is a bit limp, but here it must be remembered, in what price category you move here. For portraits in the evening round of lightning was good enough.
Integrated are a small microphone and even a speaker for the possible HD video recording for recording and playback.
Image Quality
The quality of the images is really good, as long as the lighting conditions are good, or is flashed at short range. The effects of many, many Best Shot alternatives not only change the exposure time, focus and focal length but also affect the color saturation and depth and especially skin tones. That does not always work for my taste. The 16 megapixel nobody needs in such a camera in my opinion. It is given by the manufacturer for posters suitable, but who photographed with a snapshot camera and then makes poster?
