I have quite a few sound systems possessed (Hifi and PC range) and for the price you can find nothing better on the market. Of course, the system can not keep up with 500 euros expensive monitor speakers and yes you will find due to the construction a small center hole before, but honestly what do you expect when buying? To put it briefly: The sound is very good. For higher requirements please spend more, but for a student's room, next to the PC, next to the television or for the small party room, it is just perfect.
In order to clarify false details in some reviews:
1) bassy - With the proper location of the subwoofer and the right attitude on the bass knob (9 clock position), the system is very balanced but something of no bassy but sounds.
2) absence of surround sound - Please also set up right here. Determine listening position and the speakers depending on the distance and room size approx 20cm positioniern from the wall and whoops: Suddenly you have a much larger Sweat Spot. A feature which significantly enhances the Speaker again
3) Fake membrane on the front - Yes also something I've already read here and can only say: Absolute nonsense. The membrane on the front is not a fake but a part of the pressure chamber technique which uses Logitech here. Generally should be noted here that the subwoofer - absolutely unusual for Logitech - is not set to a Frontfire but on the down-firing technique.
Important in this regard is to know what is the difference between species and should be what surface the woofer used.
Sound: Absolutely nothing to complain about, the subwoofer plays clean and quite deep, the satellite does not consume even at high volumes and with a slight treble boost (12-16K Hz) matches the entire sound.
Volume: enough for most types of applications and you get more stress than with the neighbors that the speakers are at the end.
Cable length: Ample
Material: Piano paint (satellite), beautiful to look at, quickly catches dust and scratches due to incorrect cleaning fast, nice detail on the edge: Rounded corners on the subwoofer and no plastic housing, adequately dimensioned wall thickness of the subwoofer enclosure
Packing: All neatly packed
Negatives: small deficit in the ups and classic middle hole. (Fix height deficit without problems by EQ)
No treble controls to the satellite
Conclusion: After properly setting up and revealed the Z523 a decent sound which should make most users satisfied. If you want more of course must Greiff much deeper into their pockets.
