In direct comparison, the Ultimate Ears MetroFi 170 cut in the sound better. The Creative EP 630 are at a similar level as the Ultimate Ears 200, the Ultimate Ears 200 sound a tad better.
The sound quality is of course always a subjective rating, but I can give to the build quality a much more objective opinion.
The main criticism of the Ultimate Ears headphones was the build quality of the cable with me. I had in the past, a total of 3 Ulitmate Ears MetroFi 170 (had a total of 3 times to complain) because after every 4-5 months at a certain point at which the plug passes into the flexible cable, a cable break was to be noted. This was reflected by a failure of the left or right headphone. Externally reported headphones no damage and I have also exposed to no stronger forces. They were simply wrapped in everyday life to the MP3 player and used every day about 1 to 2 hours at the train ride.
After the third complaint, I got the Ultimate Ears 200 as new goods, because the MetroFi 170 were no longer available.
I was happy at first about the now angled jack, as I hoped by this a longer shelf life.
Unfortunately, this was a fallacy to now about 6 months also showed the Ultimate Ears 200 a cable break and the right earphone stopped working.
I wonder even this apparently poor build quality of Ultimate Ears, compared held my Creative EP 630 under the same conditions 1 1/2 years, so I can not recommend buying this Ultimate Ears earphones considering this important aspect.
I myself would now like to try other manufacturers and its quality workmanship and complete this article if necessary.
