I have the SSD for my Dell Vostro 3350 Notebook bought, replacing the 500GB hard drive. The installation of the plate was actually very straightforward, everything fits perfectly into the hard drive bay. The problem was the supplied Upgrade Kit Norton Ghost. I had from the outset the plan my system (Windows 7 64 bit) to be transferred from the 500GB hard drive to the SSD so that I could start to reconstruction of the SSD my previous system again and run. I want to mention that I had about 170 GB disk space occupied, that is, the scope of which should actually fit on the SSD 256 GB. After intensive study of the enclosed documents, and extensive research on the internet for my Windows clone system I gave in various experiments (with different variants, ie SSD in the laptop, hard drive via USB and vice versa) on! On the Internet I found several indications that there are better software for the clones process. I have then an additional license for the backup program Acronis TrueImmage Home risen (nearly 50 Euros) and lo and behold, the first attempt was successful. The attached manual was easy (new SSD built into laptop, connect HD via USB and then the cloning gem. Description Run). Since then, my system runs flawlessly with the SSD and that "rats quickly". Start the computer or shut down is now lightning fast, launching applications (in my case in particular MS Office 2010) also. With respect to smoothness and heat generation, I am very satisfied. Overall, an excellent addition to my Notebook. The 500GB drive I have in a housing (with USB - port) packed and can use this as a backup drive. In addition, there is still my complete system available. Overall, the acquisition worth (I use the laptop professionally), although the cost is still quite high. Wg the clones problems the included Norton Ghost -. SW a star deduction.
