I use the holder for an iPhone 6. The support we attached by suction cup on the disc. The mount itself is placed on the feet and can be easily removed. Through a fixable ball joint the phone in almost any position can be brought (also cross). Due to the short holder and the lockable ball the holder is particularly rigid. All parts that come directly into contact with the phone padded. The phone is supported by two adjustable jaw right and left. Optional can also be folded out a bracket at the lower end. The whole part is processed in black and held high gloss black and solid. In Detail:
+ Very sturdy construction - holds very rigid and does not dissolve
+ The phone is also kept well out of the side cheeks - even without the lower bracket. But I only drive on the road - other reviewers probably also in the field.
+ The operation of the suction mechanism is very simple, as is the determination of the ball joint
+ Removal of the phone by simply pressing a button on the back - But it is also so because the jaws by material and padding are somewhat flexible.
+ Phone fits well with (very thin) Case
- The distance of suction cup to mount is very short, thereby encounter longer phones (the iPhone 6 heard it) with very inclined windshields against this if you flip out the bottom bracket. I do not do that and therefore it fits with me.
Conclusion: Even without bottom bracket lasts me the phone properly. For me it is important that the holder is generally quite rigid. If you appreciate the extra support from below, a high telephone and slanted windscreen has to resort to a holder, which is longer in total.
