There are some similarities to the previous device so both measure quite accurately on the upper arm through a sleeve, both models can also be supplied with an AC adapter. The newer device stores up to 60 measurements in two different user stores. Also can be obtained from Sanitas here a larger cuff for people with arm circumference above 30 cm.
The biggest difference is in the display: the newer Sanitas has a huge display that also the pulse and the result in a rating scale by WHO outputs when measuring next systolic / diastolic (Best / Normal / High Normal / hypertension Level 1 / Level 2 / Level 3). The display of the old 654.05 SBM 12 is significantly smaller.
The operation itself is (after first installing the batteries and date and time have been set) extremely easy:
Create cuff *
* Switching on (right button front, on / off)
This starts after a few seconds without pressing another button with the measurement, but which can be (from I /) enforced via the right control button once. The left control knob ("MEM") allows the selection of stored blood pressure readings. On the back is an on / off slide switch, are disabled by the membrane keys on the front panel (ON / OFF and "MEM").
Compared to another meter, and the values at the doctor that "Sanitas SBM 655.18 45" is very accurate, the deviations are in the 5 percent range. The guide is quite informative. What's a bit awkward and you also will not find the same, setting the date and time (Hold both front buttons while the unit is not running).
CONCLUSION: Good upper arm blood pressure monitor with a very simple operation and a huge display.
