I use external hard drives as a backup medium for various PCs and laptops as well as for music, photos and audio books - I've got some plates partly in use for years. Again and again I note, however, the particular older external hard drives with the use of various PC always develop strange problems. Some plates are not recognized on some PCs. Others want a system check when you connect to another PC .... things you can do at a backup medium, such as a goiter .... In addition to a model of Transcend and a 3.5 HDD from WD, the Toshiba is currently the only board that I can connect to a total of 6 PCs and it is widely recognized and immediately usable. Together with the decent price the low noise level and the quality look and feel enough for me for 5 star.
