I have tested the eyepieces of a 1200s F6 Newton, a 1000s F5 Newton, to a 1000 F10 refractor and a pretty bad 800cc F4 Newton.
The eyepieces are entirely of metal and black anodized (?). Unfortunately there is no dust container to the Okulren.
The wertigsten impression makes the 20s with its 24mm lens (12mm: 15mm, 8mm: 13mm) and the largest weight (84g) of the three (12mm: 65g, 8mm: 46g). The lenses have a compensation at least up and down. I guess the lens design to a maximum of 4 Linsig, disassembled I have not got it, however.
Something I was disappointed with the small and lightweight eyepieces the first Anblichk already, even my standard 26mm Superplössel already weighs 105g and has no 70 ° ...
In field trials against the eyepieces make a surprisingly good figure. The picture in my Newton was quite good, especially the 20s is a nice eyepiece. Of course, none of the eyepieces is really sharp edges and also a certain curvature of the field can be stated, but for the money and the size I was pleasantly surprised. Well, I think in this series also, that has been evident trouble to design homofocal, ie you need when replugging the next eyepiece also not too much to correct.
Less well I find the eye relief. Is he in the 20's still pleasant, it is in the smaller focal lengths less and less and the 8-one sticks with the eye almost off and can hardly exploit even 70 °.
From Kidney Bean you realize little, the contrast translucent to be good, of course, not comparable with a Planetary (is not the target area). The 8-person makes compared to a 10 Superplössl still a good figure.
On my F5er Newton eyepieces go too well (subjective, of course, with the above-mentioned errors on the edge) on F4er they were no worse than the other eyepieces, the curvature of the field of view, etc. was narürlich stronger. On F6er it looks almost perfect - no less than always considering their price.
Planet I could so far not yet well take the eye, is in 8mm to 1200mm focal length maybe not necessarily the freestyle, but then there Planetary eyepieces.
Overall, I never regret buying, but find particular the 20mm (and maybe even the 17s) the most valuable. The smaller focal lengths are already upgraded to the supplied Standardokularen, but if that fits in their own Okularpark, and whether the value is so great, you have to look. Perhaps you will then later anyway switch to better and also much more expensive eyepieces. Seen in this is worth for me yet, if only because of the larger field of view.
For eyeglass wearers, the eyepieces are, however because of the small distance between the eyes rather nothing, I also think there are too few 12mm.
Summary:
+ Price
+ Processing
+ Sharp image
+ Wide field of view
+ Almost homofocal
- Accessories, no dust container
- Insufficient eye relief at 12 and 8mm, therefore problematic for eyeglass wearers
- Very simple optical design
When I once disassembled one, I can say for optical design more. I'll then grudge.
