My experience so far:
Positives:
+ Looks good
+ Is really well made.
+ The display can be read.
+ The playback via AirPlay or DLNA works great.
+ And, that's the most important, the sound is of the magnitude better than me.
Neutral:
o Remote control is not a deal breaker. A separate button for access to the settings of the system would have been all right. So you have to hold a button for longer; sometimes to get the setup menu, sometimes not. But is not the end, so often you have to not dig through the settings.
o Only three presets for Internet radio stations. A few more would have been nice.
o Bluetooth as a further option would be great have. Is not there but also not so bad for me.
Negatives:
- You need absolutely the Denon App to interact properly with the box. This app is available for iPhone and Android. Now there are also a few people who use as the Windows Phone. That would be nice, at least this group also to use, especially because you just absolutely need the app to work properly with the system. The complete control of the internet radio incl. The storage of the transmitter works as exclusively through the App. Or you would just put a little more "intelligence" in the system, as is the case with some other system. I think it would be good to be able also to access everything, if I have not just been ready my smartphone. (This reminds me a bit of the systems in which everything but really everything has to be done via the remote control as well. On the device itself, there is then only the standby button and, if you're lucky, even the eject button for the appropriate medium)
- The wireless reception performance is not good. As I have written already by other reviewers the system in a room are in the all other devices (laptop, computer, smartphone, etc.) have an adequate wireless reception (50% to 75%) with the Denon no reception at all. Fortunately, I had also a parallel WLAN Repeater bought. Thanks to this, which is now 2.5 meters is located (in the space below) under the Denon, I now have a reception power of 2 by 4 strokes (The other devices have for now all 100%, also good). So the reception would Denon some work, I think. In defense of the Denon, he also has an Ethernet port, so for those who also have a LAN connection in every room there is no problem. But I did not (Powerlan not go with me) possible therefore stop only WLAN as an option.
Conclusion:
Despite the two negative points I keep the unit because me the tone and the look very well. Also DLNA and AirPlay works really top notch.
For those who either do not have an Android / iOS device or the system does not want to set up in the vicinity of the router, without setting up a repeater, I must issue a warning. With regard to the wireless problem can also be due to the structural conditions of my apartment, so this everyone should possibly even test (Online trading has anyway 14 days right of law).
For those who have one of the above smartphones call their own and on top also want to connect the device via LAN connection I admit, especially in the current prices, a full purchase recommendation.
