good workmanship, good zoom range - bad pictures

I have for some years a Lumix TZ3 and am very excited about this. Therefore I ordered despite some criticism on the Internet, the FT1.
The workmanship is very good, robust metal housing, screwed, total quality. The often criticized simply locked the battery compartment cover, I see more as uncritical. The lock will click into place and is also visually identified. If the slider is not engaged properly, so you can still see orange color.

Also positive is the for a waterproof large optical zoom range (4,6fach).

Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the image results. The first time in the evening tried in the living room, with flash, without flash, with or without zoom and I made a rather long face! No picture really sharp, very big noise, image stabilizer virtually ineffective. I knew not of my Lumix TZ3 so. I thought maybe a waterproof just needs a little more light. But (Late dusk) when I took more shots the next morning, they were also out of focus. I could hardly believe it. Last attempt in good daylight: Now get about 60% of the shots. - But that's not enough for me, especially at the price! (3 of the recordings I have adjusted the silver camera model: Panasonic DMC-FT1EG-S digital camera (12 megapixels, 4x optical zoom, 6.9 cm (2.7 inch) display, image stabilizer, up to 3m waterproof) silver. )
I have photographed during the tests with and without flash, the ISO number changed, change the resolution and tried all sorts of modes. Even with a tripod! Virtually no difference. It was already apparent on the camera screen that the images are not sharp. This was no better on the PC. These extreme noise in dark areas.
Conclusion:
I have the camera sent back after 1 week and got myself a Canon PowerShot D10.
Although does not look chic and is somewhat clunky, but it is water-resistant to 10m, making hitherto top images and costs also happen to be less than the FT1!
