I am from a 2010s-standard LED headlights (Basta Sprint LED) changed on this model - and am thrilled difficult. The first trip over a dark cycle path - partly through forest - truly was an awakening experience: So cycling is real in the dark fun. The path is very well lit, with edges covered these. Depending on the inclination reflective (traffic) signs are visible at enormous distance, unlit pedestrians as well. The near-field illumination works well but is slightly darker than the main light box (or actually: a little less bright). Potholes lose their terrors because they can be easily identified both far in advance as well as directly in front wheel. Due to the additional LED very bright (sometimes also at night) is a met with the same amount of walkers more respect. Especially the additional LED on the road become noticeable: First, the bike is much better recognized for car drivers, on the other hand it also acts much "dangerous" or "aggressive" and thus more quickly through the bright LED - so at least my impression in recent use (about 2 weeks, about 150km), motorists often take me seriously as an equal road users. This is thanks to the daytime running lights even during the day!
To assemble: The Dynamo cable is unfortunately firmly mounted, just a short adapter cable for rear light. The rear light is therefore simply reconnected, the Dynamo cable must be re-laid. These new cable ties are needed, which unfortunately are not supplied. Most of the speed sensor is also affected, and even have abenommen and be reassembled. In normal mounted Magura rim brakes (etvl. Other rim brakes) this the mounting screw in the way (at least on my fork). Consequently, the Magura needs at both (!) Sides are resolved (ie once the normal lever on the other side screw (loosen enough)). For bike makers but actually all quite feasible.
Tip: If the wheel is often open to the public, the Assembly with special security Saxony ("Pitlock") could be worthwhile, which are also offered for this attachment (conveniently of course combined with code same wheel axles / seat clamp).
Conclusion: Grandiose road illumination combined with very good self-protection by the additional LED at night and day. Do not forget: cable ties for mounting get!
