The BN0100 is minor exceptions (see below), processed and used to clean is therefore very valuable. The housing is oberseits and matt on the flanks, where as nice detail adorns the transition a narrow polished strips. The bottom is polished, the floor then turned dull and decorated with a laser engraving. The crown is screwed down and signed with the Promaster logo, a crown protection is indicated on the housing. The threads see worked out clean. The crown can be emotional or solve screw and jumps to points out safely. The bezel is painted, can be divided into 60 steps unilaterally turn left and snapped fed and clean one. She is a tad on the glass, which works wonders against scratches on the glass. Very nice!
Not as nice is the web width of 23 mm. Many classic alternative tapes are not available in this width. I will not say it gets worse ... but ... even if, then you could these bands probably not mount yes. The circular housing is recessed in the region of the webs. As a result, the spacing web is - housing is very small. That is, even in a band with only 2 mm thick, the tape already comes to the housing and can be mounted only with a little pressure. The original band is at this point specifically adapted.
The bracelet is processed solid and very valuable incl. Buckle. Practical - the divers extension - if one really wants to adjust time diving or even rapidly the bracelet length. The clasp is it without fine adjustment. Individual members can be found in a pen (without sleeve). Since there is nothing to criticize!
The dial is simple and tidy, what the readability comes to very good. Pointer lengths are consistent, the minute hand as opposed to the hour hand orange held in metal framed. The 5-minute indices are trimmed with a small metal frame, just so that stronger reflections, such as back has in the Citizen NY0040 inevitable. The minutes divider and all other labels come matt therefore. Unfortunately, the indexes meet on the bezel, at least in my copy is not exactly the indexes on the dial. When I check the alignment with the ruler, then it seems that the indices are not set on the clean Ziffernblat from 6 clock.
The night readability is very good. About 10 seconds under an energy-saving lamp last for the whole night. Meanwhile, typical of Citizen shine hands and indexes in a beautiful shade of blue, only the mark of 12 lights on the bezel in green after. At the luminosity of Seiko SKX781 (aka 'Orange Monster') the BN0100 does not come close. That's only the blue hue owed, because the eye is particularly sensitive to green and red colors in low light.
Inside work ELT the proven in many models of Citizen caliber E168. In the forums no blunder of the plant are known. Eco-Drive, dark power reserve of 180 days, discharge indicator, date display, quartz precision - what more could you want. In my experience, I would like to possibly complain about the hand game. I had, or have some models in this work, in which the minute hand wiggled factory in the region of 'half minute' back and forth. The game is due to the system, since a quartz movement, the pointer does not constantly are in the power flow precisely. Compared to other quartz movements, for example in the Citizen JP2000, I feel the game as more pronounced.
Whether the design like everyone needs to know itself. On the whole, I think it's great because I like simple, uncluttered and easy to read dials. However, I see a few inconsistencies.
The betriftt firstly the proportions. The clock measures at a diameter of bezel of 40 mm (45 mm with crown) 50 mm over the whole horns and looks very long to me. The inset in the housing strap enhances this effect. Although the diameter of 40 mm seem suitable for small wrists, my clock is too big (long).
Next, the numbers on the bezel for me might be less fat. The font weight is not consistent chosen in relation to the dial. Even the Lünettenmarker on 12 out of the ordinary and crosses almost the first few minutes divider.
Due to the aforementioned, partly subjective shortcomings and probably because I somewhat regret that I can not wear them but because of the size;) I subtract a star.
