Hello There,
after I tested the camera now 1 week ago, I will send them back.
The great features are indeed highlighted in all the other reviews and I would wholeheartedly emphasize: Great pictures, many features, fits comfortably in your hand -> Everything Right Here!
Whoever receives photos exclusively in landscape mode, is happy, but alas they decide to have an upright photo shoot (classic portrait)!
"Automatically rotate" The famous Canon function does not have the camera.
Now you could just hope that there is a position sensor at least, the reinschreibt an orientation flag in the Exif file.
A look in the Exif files shows very, very much -> the orientation flag but lacking, from which I conclude times that the camera does not have a corresponding position sensor.
What does that mean for you? After importing on the computer, you have to click each erecting image and rotate manually.
Imagine, they come from vacation, have 750 photos on the memory card and in random order, these have been taken up in landscape and portrait orientation. All images captured in portrait mode but are on the page in landscape mode. You must individually (!) And then click Rotate. Because it is pure joy, right?
With a 400 camera for me that is a no-go -> each simple smart phone has this feature.
The moment I write this, I still can not believe it really. That really needs to be chomping at the bit to time. The camera can produce a WLAN to connect with a smartphone, GPS data from satellites can be received and has a zoom, which allows a one dog at 200 m distance to photograph the fleas in the coat - but the camera does not know where is up and down ???
How actually said a great camera, but it is comparable to me than if you buy a super great car and detects at once that there is no steering wheel and the seller tells that one must stop every time out and the wheels to follow direction changes manually ;-)
