Externally:
+ Feel and look like very much. The curvature forward it is easy to hold.
+ Color white looks elegant.
+ Operating Principles touch keys and rotary switch above convince.
Operation:
+ By Touch very easy to use. In particular, the functions of which are hereby artistic much easier to handle.
+ Ergonomics and weight distribution, I find it very successful. The housing is not too small, so if you have larger hands as I come herewith cope better. Tripod mount, as so often in this class, made of plastic.
+ Movie button directly forward and easy on and off.
+ Time send a photo via wireless e-mail (or Picasa, FB, etc.), no problem. Simply enter email address, select photo (s) and send. It must be set up no mail accounts, etc. access to Wi-Fi networks are stored. Works really great.
+ Unique Lightning concept (see below).
+ Overall, the camera works fast.
Photographic area:
+ Contrast, sharp and true color images.
- Automatic programs but also a full manual mode. Of course, only JPEG and RAW not, but that's pretty clear.
+ 18x zoom is great, works very well.
+ Lens is quiet.
+ When filming works of the zoom, I was amazed but no engine noise when zooming to hear as with many other cameras.
+ Quickly focuses.
+ Many "game" compelling scene modes (somewhat ironically, some are very nice, especially with the touch).
+ Very effective image stabilization. Recorded videos wiggle barely - an impressive result.
What's really great is the lightning. The manually activated (as the camera still make good photos even in relative darkness). When folded out, the flash is quite high and thus no shadow is created by the lens. Also, you can "turn" the flash back to then so to flash indirectly. Overall, a pretty ingenious solution.
Loading the camera via an included USB cable (Yes, at Samsung's still) a charger. It takes about 30-45 min. Until it is fully charged. How long does the battery I can not say yet.
Problems I had not have, except that I did not realize I like the i-Launcher install (under Win8). But that was only because I had overlooked that which is offered when you connect the camera via USB. After that first time firmware update, I'm guessing here, there will be regular updates.
Overall, this value for money a really great camera. Operation with touch keys, rotary switch is consistent and intuitive. The camera works well made, since creaks and creaks nothing. The photos and videos are excellent and also the 18x lens is fun.
Negative is my only noticed that the camera probably has no position sensor. That edgewise images must be subsequently rotated.
